| This and the following photos are from the entrance to Shady Oaks. Unlike most of the hills around here, these are bedrock from an 'uplift' and not just limestone. |

| we had less than a quarter inch of ran several days ago but this little "pond" is still here. There is just a trace of soil on top of the rock for the grass to grow in. |
