2018 August 18 Saturday in Grimes Iowa
66° and a high fog or haze. Amazing, it nearly reached 90° today and was still at 85 at 6 p.m.
There was no work today and no senior center. I started working on the bulletin and sermon early this morning and didn't fix breakfast. So, we had breakfast at the cafe this morning.
We had a short town hall meeting at 10:30 where they discussed items brought up at last months meeting and then addresses some new items which will be discussed by the board at their next meeting.
Keith and Jean took us Pizza Ranch for lunch. It was a reward for Ella watering their garden while they were away.
The afternoon was taken up with more work on the bulletin and sermon for next week's worship. Just a more services left at Cutty's this year. Labor day will be the final one. It may well be the last one I preach here. We have soft plans for spending less time here in the coming years and more time in Texas.
